James Seymour
PGA of Canada Member
James Seymour is a professional golfer from Aurora, Ontario. After graduating in 2012 and playing for the Wilfrid Laurier University golf team, James decided to turn professional when he qualified for a PGA Tour Canada event. Since then, James has played on multiple tours across North America holding status on the Mackenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada in 2014, 2018, and 2019. Over his playing career James has had the privilege to learn from world renown coaches including Jimmy Ballard, Matt Killen, and Bobby Clampett.
James is currently a PGA of Canada member. Using his knowledge and experience, James can provide the skills and techniques required to help golfers of any skill level to reach their potential and further their development. He understands the complexity of the sport and endorses a comprehensive teaching style finding the most efficient way to communicate with his students. As an instructor, James can recognize certain patterns, physical or mental, that may be holding back a golfer from realizing their true potential. Implementing a development plan for each student focusing on fundamentals, efficiency training, course management, and emphasis on short game, James can provide his students with a framework geared towards success. Whether you’re new to the game or want to take it to the next level, James is willing to focus his efforts to ensure each of his students are well equipped to reach their goals.
Joseph D’Alfonso
PGA of Canada Class A
Joseph brings 13 years of teaching experience to the GBurns Golf School. Having been a long-time member of the PGA of Canada, Joseph has valuable professional tournament and teaching skills. He is extremely passionate in coaching and competing. His philosophy is based around the idea that there is more than one way to teach and play the game, with a focus on individual players’ needs and abilities. Joseph is an advocate for mastering key swing fundamentals through inventive practice drills designed to instill them. Joseph recognizes that every player is different and teaches a personal swing based on how your body functions. Each player processes and learns new information in different ways, having clear and distinct communication is an important part of the learning experience.
Joseph is also heavily invested in proper nutrition for all athletes as he is the founder and owner of Fix Fuel. Fix Fuel is a nutrition option for athletes on the move who need to keep their bodies properly energized to meet the demands of high-level performance.
His dedication, love, and determination for the game of golf and nutrition has turned him into a well-respected golf professional. Joseph is focused on protecting the players health and building them a swing that is best for them. He’s looking forward to meeting you.
Hugh Coomber
PGA of Canada Apprentice with 3 years of teaching experience. Hugh has been studying with Gord Burns for the past 8 years and has adapted a great understanding of the golf swing mechanics. Hugh has had great success with students of all ability levels.
Justin Ngui
Justin brings his lifetime of knowledge about the human body and mind for the help the juniors need both physically and mentally. We use Justin’s expertise not only to help train the kids mentally, but also in case an injury is sustained. He is a great asset to the GBurns Golf School.
Gord Smith
Gord brings 25 years of custom club fitting experience to help all junior golfers find the correct equipment needs for their growing bodies and games. He is regarded as one of the best club fitters in the greater Toronto area. With the use of the Trackman launch monitor, he is able to offer the best fitting experience for your junior golfer.
