Gord still enjoys competing on a regular basis, and firmly believes in leading by example to inspire the students he coaches!! By competing in professional tournaments first hand and performing ‘under the gun’, Gord is able to help his competitive students based on real life experiences. Gord continues to push himself to be a better all the while taking on a full time coaching schedule. 2019 saw some of his best performances as a professional. Starting from his most recent victory at the PGA of Canada Club Pro Championship, Gord shot a record setting 21 under for 3 rounds and a 7 shot victory, with a nice course record 62 (-10) in the opening round. He was also named the 2019 PGA of Ontario Player of the year honours, and was able to maintain his #5 rank in the PGA of Canada player rankings. Gord enjoyed 7 other victories, shot 37 of 44 competitive rounds at par or better, and maintained a tournament scoring average of 69.56 for the season.

Rick brings to us 30 years of coaching and tournament playing experience. Having played on the Canadian Tour in the mid 1990s and notching up several tournament wins in Ontario PGA events, Rick is able to share with the juniors his many years of wisdom.
Justin brings his lifetime of knowledge about the human body and mind for the help the juniors need both physically and mentally. We use Justin’s expertise not only to help train the kids mentally, but also in case an injury is sustained. He is a great asset to the GBurns Golf School.
Gord brings 25 years of custom club fitting experience to help all junior golfers find the correct equipment needs for their growing bodies and games. He is regarded as one of the best club fitters in the greater Toronto area. With the use of the Trackman launch monitor, he is able to offer the best fitting experience for your junior golfer.
GBurns Golf School has many contributing factors that all play a major role in the proper development of top tournament players.

Some Next Generation GBurns Golf School Juniors
Kelly will be 14 this spring and looks to continue dominating girls junior golf in Ontario. She will continue testing her skills south of the border plenty this summer as eyes will take notice of her steady game.
Noah is getting a head start to the 2020 season down in Florida on the Hurricane Tour…this experience will undoubtedly be very valuable as he makes a push to be one of Ontario’s top junior players.
13 year old Kennedy is a quietly skilled player developing at a nice pace. I’m excited to watch her skills translate into lower and lower scores each year. A super sweet kid with a fierce competitive streak in her that will serve her well going forward.
Courtney, having only started playing the game seriously 3 years ago, now has her skill sets in a great place to start performing well in the tournament scene. I’m excited to watch her skills translate into low scores in competition as the season unfolds.
Younger sister of Annie, Maggie is developing a fundamentally rock solid swing that will serve her well in this game for a lifetime. As she matures, her game will follow and I’m happy to help her fulfill any of her golfing goals.
Annie is a super talented player that is surely going to post some tournament success this season. Her swing mechanics are getting sorted out over the winter months and I know she will turn those fairways and greens into some great scores.
Matthew has come a long way in the 3 years he has been playing golf, already closing in on scratch golfer status. He will be playing many tournaments this season to learn how to score low in tournament conditions. There is no telling when wins will start happening, but I know they will eventually.
A 15 year old talent that has great potential and a huge desire to compete at the highest level. Look for Zach to make some noise in the Ontario junior golf scene in 2020.
Connor is all in with desire, work ethic, and talent. As one of Ontario’s U13 elite players, look for Connor to notch up some victories. I’m extremely happy with the work Connor has put in over the winter months, and I know his competitors will start noticing his low scores.
Ava will continue her journey as one of Ontario’s premier junior girl players. She had some great finishes last season on the AJGA tour and will continue to do so in the 2020 season.
A great swing and a great player. A Cedar Brae Bantam Junior Club Champion with scores of 74-69 is just the beginning of some self belief that will carry him to bigger and better things.
A native of the Picton area ( and son of Canadian Tour veteran Mike Pero), Cameron has a bright future in golf. I believe with some attention to the details in swing mechanics, that is all that is needed, as his competitive spirit and natural ability will create some great tournament scores.
A young player from St. George’s golf club, Nicholas has a love for this game and will be learning from Gord, Gord’s other junior players and his own experiences to help him become the great player I know he will be. I’m excited to see where his game is in 2 years.
Kelly has recently become an amazing ball striker at the young age of 15. This was fueled by some tournament success last season as she literally fell in love with the game. Her hard work and dedication over the winter months will equate to some nice tournament finishes in 2020 and beyond.
A smooth swinging lefty, kind of like Bob Charles. I expect Ryan to start using that golf swing to produce some scores in the 2020 season.
Like many other students Gord has, Athan has seemed to have caught the ‘getting good at golf’ bug. Look for Athan to fall into the competitive scene in the near future.
10 year old Andy just recently started working with Gord. A very quick learner, look for some fast development in this young talent.
