2023 saw 6 GBurns golf school athletes earn scholarships to start their post secondary collegiate golf careers in the fall of 2024, congratulations juniors!!

As a benefit of the junior golf development program that Gord Burns offers, junior golfers have the potential to earn golf scholarships to the U.S. and abroad to support the heavy expense of a university education. Not only are these golfers putting themselves into elite company, competing against the best juniors in North America, they are learning valuable life skills along the way in pursuit of golfing excellence. Gord Burns experiences great joy in developing and watching juniors improve their golf games, mature as teenagers, and work towards being influential members of our society. Sometimes in the case of Kelly Zhao, that development relationship takes place over a 10 year span, and in other cases, like Karolyn Zeng and Amy Goddard, it occurs in a more condensed time frame of 2 years. Nonetheless, if given enough time and effort between player and coach, golfing tournament goals can be achieved and players can be good enough to compete at an NCAA collegiate level. In the case of Nicholas Giannone, it has been a 4 year journey, and with Astoria Yen who had already built a solid foundation, the tournament success happened in 1 short year. Every junior has their own path to follow as they embark on their own journey, and navigating all the twists and turns is what Gord is there to help them with. These relationships continue on, even once the kids start their college careers. Congratulations to all of you thus far, and Gord can`t wait to see how you all continue to excel.
